2015 Island Adventure #1: My Dream Come True---> Sta. Cruz Island, Zamboanga City (Jan. 3, 2015)

Image
Been dreaming of coming to this island since 2008. After half a dozen years, it finally came true! Indeed, good things come to those who wait...patiently! It was a fine Saturday, the weather was perfect for a beach escapade!  Although the boat ride back to Paseo del Mar was a bit rough. It's all worth it! I thought the photos didn't do justice to the actual amazing beauty of the Pink Sand Beach, Sta. Cruz Island.  You have to be there to experience it yourself!   First off, be at  Paseo Del Mar early!  Next, register at once and pay the necessary fees and wait patiently:-)  Since we were there on a weekend, there were already a number of people waiting when we arrived. Kevin & Amanda taking care of our tickets and reservation. Listen to the Tourism Officer during the orientation.  Trust me, it's for your own safety!  Yes we want to enjoy but we should also remember our safety!   So wear life jackets, shades and enjoy the boat ride:-) We just did! Eat Out: @Ramen Sora, Subic "No Ramen, No Life"

My friend Anne and I have been craving for ramen since Ramen Sora opened a branch here in Subic.  The resto is just beside Aresi Restaurant & Bar.  So when Anne's hubby arrived from his 2-months work overseas, we went out and tried Ramen Sora's house specialty:  MISO RAMEN and soy-based SHOYU RAMEN.  Perfect for the cold weather!   Hubby and me enjoying our Ramen! House Specialty---> Miso Ramen (This serving's good for 2-3 persons) Shoyu Ramen (soy based)  Ramen Sora's food serving is quite generous plus it tasted really good!  Even the kids enjoyed their meals and the price is also affordable---> for me, this restaurant is POP na POP!! With Anne's hubby and kids @ Ramen Sora, Subic:-) The overall ambiance of the restaurant feels like being transported to Japan:-) Japan-Japan :-D Till next time!!! One word to end this post:  Sarraappp!!! XOXOXO, Lakwatsera2015

Day (0) Preparations for the Trip -Friday, January 30, 2015 Hubby and I went straight home from work on Friday to prepare for our trip to Baguio City! We're so excited to take this trip which was supposed to happen a week before (that's another story).  We packed appropriate clothes for Baguio's weather including snacks and ready to eat meals such as cup noodles, cookies, cupcakes, chips, oatmeal plus 3-in-1 coffee, because we are budget travelers like that:-) Hubby also cooked  chicken adobo for our "baon" the next day.  Whilst I prepared Spam/Egg and Cheese Sandwich, Nanay packed breakfast of fried rice, spam and egg good for 8 pax (including the driver). Day (1) Tour at the City of Pines -Saturday, January 31, 2015 Our call time is at exactly 3:00 A.M! The kids of Aquino Family (Ysabel & Dominique), Ryan and Olive, Ivan and Hubby and me were all excited.  We were rolling in no time!  It took as almost four (4) hours from San Pablo, Dinalupihan Bata
