3D/2N Trip: La Trinidad, Benguet & Baguio "City of Pines" (Part 1)

Our group of nine(9) pax were supposed to go to a camping adventure in Nagsasa Cove, San Antonio Zambales last Friday, June 8.  However, due to weather condition we postponed it and instead went on an impromptu trip to La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City.  I must admit, I haven't thoroughly explored the City of Pines in the half-a-dozen times I was there.

A day before the trip, I jotted down our itinerary---some places I would love to visit and re-visit are the following:

  • Camp John Hay
  • Wright Park
  • The Mansion
  • Good Shepherd Convent
  • Mine's View Park
  • Strawberry Farm
  • Burnham Park
  • Baguio Cathedral
  • SM Baguio
  • Bell Church
  • Treetop Adventure
  • Tam-awan Village
  • Butterfly Garden
  • Botanical Garden
We were on the road to Baguio City by Friday afternoon of June 8.  Thanks God for SCTEX and Marcos Highway, by past 7pm we were already in the City of Pines!   We were greeted by fireworks as soon as we arrived the city as we pass by Burnham Park because of the on-going Tanduay First Five Concert.  Too bad, I wasn't able to take pictures:(

About half an hour later, we we're asking for directions along the way to lead us to our accommodation at Camp Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet.  At last we arrived at Regional Director's Office and Quarters at around 8pm, after settling our things we went to our happy place for a quick dinner and some supplies at 7Eleven.
Dinner and free WIFI at McDonald's in La Trinidad, Benguet
