Summer Trip: Nagsasa Cove, San Antonio Zambales

Last weekend was our "Huling Hirit sa Tag-Init" trip with hubby, Koji, Kleng and Panx, Cha & Atty. Mike.
It was an adventure one year in the making:)

The trip was amazing because it's everybody's first time to get there. Nagsasa Cove is all just sun, sea, mountains and sky...It has no electricity, no huts and no signal.  Fortunately, they have running water and C.R. :D

We spent PhP 450 each for the round trip boat ride from Nora's Beach in San Antonio, Zambales to "our island" in Nagsasa Cove.  All the awesome views while on board the boat was all worth it!  I really wish I could capture each moment to share it with the world!

All Aboard! Excited and ready to go!
The fairway seems busy this weekend:)

Approaching "Our Island" for One Day
So the adventure begins! Swimming, Snorkeling, Sight-seeing, Eating, Picture-Taking and Camping.  So many adventures so little time!

From the moment we set foot at the island, we owned it as we were the only visitors.  The Aetas residing in the area are kind, accommodating and generous---they even gave us mangoes and camote tops.  Even their pet dogs are friendly:)

We had a sumptuous lunch at the bamboo table under the trees, our menu:
-Salted Egg ni Chief with Tomatoes and Onions
-Pork Adobo ni Miguelito
-Roasted Chicken from Koji
-Inhihaw na Fish from Panx & Glenn
-Camote Tops with Bagoong, Tomatoes and Onions on Top and
-Of course the much awaited ---mainit na kanin!

Peek at our mouth-watering lunch :D

Kain Tayo "Let's eat!"
Nagsasa Cove's calm water is perfect for swimming! Its clear water is great for snorkeling as well.  Seeing sea creatures swim up close in their sanctuary is really amazing.  Everybody enjoyed it to the maxxx:)
Swimming-swimming pag may time :)

Hubby enjoying the view!
Me: Enjoyyyyy

Breath taking view!

For dinner, we had BBQ liempo, grilled fish, grilled hotdog and rice.  We also had a bit of radio music, bonfire and drinks before calling it a night:)

We paid PhP 100 for this bonfire :D
Bonfire and music:)

It was super humid inside the tent.  But we're still lucky because according to the Aetas, it usually rains at the island at night.  That night however, was an exception.

Our group pic @ the bonfire

What amazed me most is lying under the beautiful blanket of stars.  I love every minute looking at it:)  Too bad, my cam couldn't capture it:(  My cam's memory card actually ran out of memory during this trip, the battery got exhausted, too! lol!

Hurry sleep please come, I told myself, as hubby was already in dreamland.  I can't wait for the morning swim.

ZZZZZZ

10PM...
11PM...
2AM call of nature :D...
3:30AM somebody else's call of nature...
5AM...

I didn't get enough sleep because of my noisy neighbors hehehe! It's like listening to a harmony of snores while trying to get some sleep.  Plus, the heat kept me awake and some insects trying to bite my feet which are extended outside the tent.

Morning came and it's bittersweet because in a few hours we'll be going home.  So we just made the most of our time, eating, swimming, snorkeling, picture-taking and laughing out loud.

I won't ever forget this amazing adventure with hubby and friends:)  It's the best summer trip, ever:)

See you again Nagsasa:)

Bye for now from my lakwatsera feet:):)

Till our next trip, friends!
