Our Travel Story: 4D3N Macau & HK Lakwatsa Part Two

(Apologies for this late blogpost, I've been really busy with work.  It took a little more than 3 months to post Part Two of our Macau-Hk Adventure.)

May 18, 2013 SATURDAY

It's our first full day in Macau:-)  We're excited to see Asia's Las Vegas:-) Macau is also known for its scenic attractions:-) So, come on let's strollll!!!
We were greeted by a line-up of beautiful cars parked below our flat.

At the flat, we already had noodles and bread for breakfast.  Then at around 8am we were strolling around the area.  We were surprised to see shops are still closed:(  Apparently we were such early birds! Shops and stores are closed except for 7eleven and K convenience stores.  We learned that the shops there actually open between 9AM and 10AM.

Some photos taken during our morning stroll/sightseeing:)
Upon reaching San Malo, we bought the famous Portuguese egg tarts priced at MOP 8 each:-) It's about PhP 40 each! Quite pricey but I tell you it's definitely worth it:-)  Bought half a dozen on our last day for pasalubong:-)  Sarrappp:-)

That's my egg tart right there on the left part of the photo, and Vienini sampling one as well:)
Hubby also bought a pack of ginger/coconut candies for his colds. We enjoyed samples of treats at the San Malo Area.

"Pasyal-pasyal pag may time":)

We hiked a bit to reach the famous St. Paul Ruins! We took tons of photos there:-)

HAPPY:)
Bawal ang SAD dapat HAPPY:)

The weather was humid but we beat the heat with cold drinks while sightseeing. A side story while near the Ruins, I bought a bottle of water from a nearby 7Eleven store, I paid MOP 5 and politely smiled and thanked the cashier but she looked right back at me like I did something to ruin her day, what's up with that? Masungit na pangit pa:-) Hmp!

Anyways, we enjoyed tasting samples along the shops leading to St. Paul ruins. We also bought souvenirs from the shops there:-)

We also took the opportunity to prepare our HK $ for the Sunday trip to HK via ferry. We went to a Money Changer in the area.  Then we met up with Mama Joyce's sister Monica and some  of her friends/workmates from Ritz Tropical Spa.

We strolled around and had lunch at the Emperor Hotel.  Hubby and I had Pork BBQ with rice and tea. I noticed they don't serve cold drinks :( They serve lukewarm tea or water.

We had lunch at the Emperor Hotel...After taking this photo of hubby, I was told picture taking was not allowed:(

After lunch we queued for free bus ride to get to the Taipa area to visit the casinos:-) not to play but just do some sightseeing and get some free drinks:-) Haha! Just kidding!
Free bus ride to Taipa:-)

@ the City of Dreams-right at the entrance we saw this big tank/aquarium except that there are no fishes but mermaids:-)

Beautiful sight!

The City of Dreams is the venue of Dancing Water:-)
Wacky me!

Hubby & moi's interpretation of City of Dreams:-) Hehehe

We lined up for free membership and got a card and souvenir.

We also went to the Venetian Hotel & Resort-it's like being transported to Europe. We watched the singing gondoliers and watched a sword fight show. The theme there was Carnevale:-)  I love their ceilings painted with clouds:-)  We went inside the Venetian casino and got drinks courtesy of some Filipino crews.

We went back to the City of Dreams as Mama Joyce and Vien had tickets for Dancing Water so the rest of us just waited at Mcdonald's which I must say is much expensive than the regular Mcdo store. What's up with that?

After the Dancing Water Show we again lined up for free bus ride back to the center of Macau:-)  I'm kinda getting used to these bus rides. I noticed that most of the people there although a bit unfriendly and snnobish most of them are well disciplined although the queue is long it's manageable.

We decided to cook for dinner for a change, so we headed to the supermarket/grocery store and then did a bit of pasalubong shopping on the side:-)

We rode another bus, we paid this time MOP 3.20, that's about Php 15:-)

The bus is actually the most common means of  transportation in Macau. We got lost for a bit because we missed our bus stop by about 4 blocks because our guide was talking too much LOL:-)  She made up for it by giving me a blue top as souvenir.  We eventually found our way to their flat. By that time my "lakwatsera" feet was really really tired as in low batt:-)  and to add to the agony, their flat is at the 4th floor, too :-) Good luck to my achy feet:-)

Upon finally reaching their flat, hubby and Esphie cooked menudo, while Grace our guide cooked rice. We had dinner, recharge our batteries and went on line via WiFi:-)

After that we walked to our flat to refresh and rest. Hubby and Mama Joyce and her friends had some drinks which we bought at 7Eleven:-)  I had a can of coke:-)  then proceeded to fix our things for the next day's trip to HK.

Soon enough it was time to hit the sack.
Zzzzzz
