Our Travel Story: 4D3N Macau & HK Lakwatsa Part Three!

(Warning: Super late post:  Last Part of our Macau-HK Trip May 19-20, 2013)

May 19, 2013 SUNDAY

We woke up really early @ around 5:30am we had coffee, noodles, bread and spam for breakfast:-)

Our call time with our strict tour guide is at 8am:-)
We we're on time:-)

We rode a bus to the ferry terminal and immediately bought tickets for our TURBO Jet ride to Hongkong. ETD 8:45, we waited for a bit and chatted with some Pinoys who worked there.
At Macau Ferry Terminal, excited to visit HK!

We passed Immigration and boarded on time. I'm super lucky I got the window seat:-)  Yeheyyy:-)

The ferry ride took about 45 minutes to reach HK:-)

We passed the HK Immigration, I was a bit worried for hubby because he had colds, as they are checking the passenger's temperature upon embarkation. Good thing he passed:-)

Welcome to Hongkong:-) :-) :-)
Hubby and me at IFC Mall

We went straight to a high end mall called IFC mall:-) Just window shopping:-)  It was huge:-) Even their comfort room is lovely:-)

We strolled HK through endless overpass that connects the tall buildings. We saw a number of OFWs resting along the way as Sunday happens to be their rest day.

We hiked a bit to reach Peak Tram and paid HK$ 40 for the roundtrip tram ride.

WOW the view at the top was beyond amazing:-)

Seeing the Hongkong skyline from this point is really awesome.

Thumbs up, indeed!

At the Peak, HK

Vien and her Dad went inside the wax museum while we roamed around the mall, bought some souvenirs and had some merienda.

Enjoying the ride!

Everyone's still looking excited after getting off the bus, hehehe!

We <3 HK :-)

Next, we went to the Star Ferry and hop on a short ferry ride to  Kowloon's Tsim Sha Tsui island. Although the boat ride was short, I must mention that we were not short on the awesome views during the ferry ride. The ride took us about 10 minutes.

On our way to board the Star Ferry:-)

Excited as usual!
With Joyce and Esphie

Hubby and me:-)

Still can't get over the cheap boat ride, hehehe!

We paid a little over HK $2 which is about Php 13. It's one of the most affordable scenic boat rides in the world!

We had lunch at Cafe de Coral:-)  The price is right and the food is great compared to what we had for lunch at Emperor in Macau the other day.

Hubby's lunch

Someone looks hungry!!! Hehehe

At the restaurant, we experienced some sort of discrimination as we were trying to get a table cleaned up by the restaurant staff, they keep ignoring us. Mama Joyce even cleared our table herself.  While waiting for hubby and moi's order I lined up at the counter with the receipt, upon receiving our order, I asked hubby to help me while this rude restaurant staff was talking to me in Chinese as if telling me to get out of her way. Well, I only have two hands and its impossible for me to carry two trays at the same time. So even if she doesn't understand English I told her, "I'm sorry I don't have four hands, can't you wait?" Hmp!

As we were seated, we started eating...hubby ordered chicken with sausage and rice while I ordered pork with roasted duck and rice.

Until we heard a commotion as one Chinese middle aged guy was also asking the staff to clean up his table, he was also ignored until he got really mad and no one could pacify him he kept shouting in Chinese while pointing a dirty finger to the restaurant staff and the manager. See, serves them right, they are really rude even with their own people, how sad:(

After lunch, we strolled to Victoria Harbour for some photos:-)

While waiting for the green light

Hubby at the Ferry Terminal

After our visit to Victoria Harbour, we headed back to Star ferry for the trip to central HK. We walked back to IFC mall then to the ferry terminal, we were on a 4:45pm ferry ride back to Macau.
HK Terminal

We were rushing to queue at the HK immigration, once again I witnessed how sungit these IO can get as hubby encountered a rude one, he was ushered in by the airport personnel after the lady in front of him at the line was finished but the IO didn't notice that hubby was already ushered by the other guy. In his very loud voice he shouted "WAIT FOR THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER TO CALL YOU!" Hubby just said "sorry" even if it wasn't his fault. After he's done with hubby's passport he still kept on murmuring. What's up with these Chinese people? Can't we all just get along?

After 45 Minutes...
Welcome back to Macau:-)

We strolled towards the Macau Fisherman's Wharf:-)  It's like being transported to Rome:-) The place was nice and clean although a bit deserted due to the emergence of tons of casinos.

We strolled and saw Macau tower from afar and at night:-)  It is a pretty sight! We watched the water fountain show at Wynn's then walked a bit to Grand Lisboa for some photos.

We also visited MGM Casino.

We grabbed a pretty late lunch at Mcdonalds near our flat and bought some baon of big mac and nuggets for our flight back to Clark:(

We went back to our flat to fix our luggage and freshen up:-)

At 6:30pm we're all set:-)  This time we rode a taxi to reach the airport with no hassle:-)

We arrived at Macau International Airport ahead of time for our 9:40pm 5J371 Flight. While waiting for boarding the rain started pouring hard :(

Sadly, we have to say goodbye Macau!

We boarded the plane on time but unfortunately, our flight was delayed by over an hour because according to the pilot they couldn't get clearance from Macau and Hongkong due to a typhoon:(

While waiting for Clearance to take-off

We prayed so hard for a safe trip back home... We waited patiently until finally we're flying:-)

We were supposed to arrive at 11:30 PM of May 20. Due to the delay we arrived past midnight at around 12:40 AM of May 21, we still have to go to work---waaah.  "Napapala ng lakwatsera!"

Good thing a good friend of mine arranged a transpo to pick us up. She even showed up to fetch us:-)  Super nice:-) Thanks Koj!

We we're finally home at around 2am:-)

P.S.
For this trip,we brought bread, coffee, noodles, chips and knickknacks:-)

We took advantage of free entrance to cultural  sights and museums:-)(Free Entrance on Mondays)

We walked like there's no tomorrow:-) Walkathon ang peg!

We went to stores with perfume testers and stepped out of the stores smelling good:-)

We took advantage of free drinks at the casinos:-) and free AC:-)  Coz it's super hot outside:-)

Most of all, we took advantage of the free shuttle services to take us to popular destinations.

There goes our travel story:-)
Till our next lakwatsa:-)
